Mkhitaryan considers Roma a second home

Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s towering performance in the midfield against Gasperini’s Atalanta and his recent exit from the Armenian national team has put him on the forefront of several rumors regarding his future in the capital.

According to Il Messaggero, ever since the 33-year-old and Mourinho agreed on a new position in the middle of the pitch rather than having him play as a winger, the ex-Borussia man has put himself at Roma’s full disposal.

Mkhitaryan reportedly considers Rome and Roma a second home. After Dortmund, Roma is the club he’s made most appearances for: 106 total appearances since his arrival in 2019.

Earlier in the year, the Armenian attacker had a couple of offers from Russia, but his attention has shifted back to the Giallorossi in recent months. \the player wants to win the Conference League.

At the end of the season, the capital club and Mkhitaryan’s entourage are likely to reconvene and discuss a potential extension of one more year.
