Mkhitaryan: “I’m ready to play in any position at Roma to help the team”.

Armenia national team captain and newly acquired midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan spoke to present media members following his side’s 3-1 loss to Italy. The former Dortmund man discussed his loan move to the Giallorossi just hours before the close of the transfer window. These are his words via Vivaro News:

“This is football where anything can happen. I’m happy that I’ve reached my goal and played in the Premier League, but now I will concentrate on Roma”.

“There were other interested clubs but Roma were the only ones with a good offer. They expressed a desire to see me at their club and I’m happy for that”.

Would you prefer to go back to Arsenal at the end of the season or stay in Serie A?
Well, let’s first see about what I can do in Roma and then at the end of the season I think we can talk if I’ll have the possibility to stay or go elsewhere. I can’t talk about the future now – it’s better to be focused on the next match.

Will you play as a playmaker at Roma or more as a winger?
I am ready to play in every position and help the team because the club is great and it’s a great team and I’m going to do my best to help the team achieve something.
