Roma attacker Henrikh Mkhitaryan was all smiles after he scored another goal as he led the Giallorossi to another league success this evening.
The Giallorossi dismantled Torino by a score of 3-1 at the Stadio Olimpico as Paulo Fonseca’s side followed up their victory against Bologna on Sunday with a strong performance.
The Armenian, meanwhile, added another goal to his season tally, which rose to 7, after he scored the game’s opening goal in the first half.
“Game by game we continue to grow. We knew today would be tough but we prepared well for this match,” asserted the attacker to Roma TV.
“We deserved the victory tonight. We dropped off a bit in the final 10-15 minutes and they caused us problems. We have to learn from our mistakes.”
“The season is still long and there’s a lot of football left to be played. This season is tightly contested so we have to take things one game at a time.”
“My goal tally? I didn’t expect to start the season like this so I have to thank my teammates. These aren’t just my goals, though, everything I do is to help the team — so I have to thank them,” he concluded.
