One of the first items on Roma’s agenda is resolving the future of attacker Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

The Armenian has been arguably the most important player this season for Roma, as he bagged twelve goals and eleven assists in 33 league appearances. However, his contract with the club expires next month and it remains to be seen if he will sign a renewal.

Corriere dello Sport reports that Mkhitaryan will ask to meet with Tiago Pinto, Roma’s General Director, and incoming manager José Mourinho to discuss the reservations he has about remaining in the Italian capital.

There was previously friction between the 32 year-old and Mourinho during their time together at Manchester United, which is why the possibility of his departure cannot be ruled out.

Nonetheless, Roma are very eager for Mkhitaryan to remain at the club.
