Despite extending his contract with Roma earlier this summer, Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s future in the Italian capital remains uncertain.

The recent string of poor performances and a general lack of form have put into motion several rumors linking the Armenian international with an exit from the club in January.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Mkhitaryan is not satisfied with the tasks he’s assigned on the pitch which result in him not being able to contribute offensively. Only 2 goals and 2 assists in 11 Serie A appearances so far this season.

Yesterday Mino Raiola, Mkhitaryan’s agent, when asked about the Armenian’s future said, “Ask the Giallorossi.”

The 32-year-old is reportedly well liked by a number of clubs in Russia and may consider, after all, terminating his contract with Roma six months in advance.
