A new name has been reportedly added to the list of potential candidates up for Roma’s sporting director vacancy.
According to the latest report by radio program Manà Manà Sport Roma, Monaco executive Carlos Avina Ibarrola is among the potential candidates for the job.
The Mexican director served with Thomas Mitchell – also previously linked with the Giallorossi – and the two collaborated on several occasions together including at Belgian club Brugge.
In August 2023, Ibarrola was named Monaco’s technical director.
His career began at Club America, in Mexico, where he was first ‘Director of Development’ and then head of the scouting network.
