Sevilla sporting director Monchi announced his departure from the club today but maintained nothing is done with Roma:
“The club offered me several options to leave, but I preferred to do it the easiest way . It is not a professional issue, it’s personal. Could I return in the future? Never say never, but now it’s early to say.”
“I have not signed for any club, Roma are interested, but they are not the only ones. It is clear that it is never a good time to leave, you can not leave with everyone happy. I have made mistakes. But nothing is done with Roma. I do not have anything bad to say about anyone at Sevilla. Sevilla does not depend on one person, who thinks this is wrong. This team has grown a lot. But I have a void to fill, today is one of the most difficult days.”
