Monchi had an associate at Roma-Fiorentina

Il Corriere dello Sport have reported that Sevilla sporting director, Monchi, had one of his close associates, Oscar Arias Suarez, currently the technical secretary of Sevill and tipped to be the successor to Monchi should he leave, watch and study Roma. Suarez watched the match at the Olimpico from the stands of Monte Mario and closely watched the Giallorossi.

Reportedly, Monchi is still deciding his future. He is a particular man. He hasn’t hid his affection for Italy and has noted that France could also be an option, as PSG have also been heavily linked to him, too. However, Monchi has met with Franco Baldini, a consultant for Roma, on two occasions. There is a mutual respect between the two. Baldini has already given his feedback on Monchi to Pallotta and, after the issue of the stadium has been resolved, is ready to launch Roma’s future by making Monchi the number one target.
