Monchi on Barca, Ünder, and Talisca

Roma sporting director Monchi spoke to Turkish outlet Radyospor about a variety of topics. These are his words:

Ünder?
We are really satisfied with Cengiz, he has shown the qualities for why we bought him, it is normal that he needed a period of adaptation. The first to talk to me about Cengiz was Bayram Tutumlu, he made me discover him. The transfer was possible thanks to the help of Göksel Gümüşdağ. Cengiz was interested in a transfer to Roma, but it was not easy because Manchester City also wanted him. He is a young player, we think he will become a very important player, we are trying to bring out his potential. Cengiz is a name that circulates among the big clubs, for example, Bayram Tutumlu told me that Barcelona is following him and he has a close relationship with the Blaugrana.

How are you in Rome?
I’m well, I always try to improve myself, I can always do better. I was fine in Seville, it’s my home, but now I have the chance to grow as a professional.

Your feelings on the clash with Barcelona?
I hope that against Barça we will be able to demonstrate our abilities. They will be two difficult matches, we will play against the best team in the world.

Is Talisca an objective?
It is obvious that I consider Talisca a strong player. He is an interesting and promising player, every sporting director in the world knows him and considers him to be strong. But today, we have not moved for him.
