Monchi contested at the airport en route to Rome

At 11.45 CET, Roma took off from Porto to return to the capital after the KO against Porto. According to Corriere dello Sport, the team was greeted by around 15-20 fans at the Portuguese airport. Reportedly the group of supporters told sporting director Ramon Monchi: “You have to go, you’ve broken up the team”. After a moment of silence, the Spaniard muttered back, “You’re all better (than this). In six months, I’ll take on each of you one on one”.
