Goal Italia have reported that Roma sporting director, Monchi, is following several names for the January transfer market at right back. Monchi is eyeing names in Spain and Portugal: the dream would be Diogo Dalot of Porto, the ’99 class phenomenon is sought after by half of Europe, including Napoli, but he has a buyout clause worth €20 million.
But among the other profiles under the magnifying glass are 27-year-old Mario Gaspar of Villarreal and Alvaro Odriozola of Real Sociedad. The problem for Roma is that in this window, they only want to do loan transactions with an option to buy and the above mentioned players all have high price tags. This is why Monchi’s decisions will be influenced by the potential formulas of any transfer.
