Italian transfer website calciomercato.it has reported that Roma sporting director Monchi has his eyes on Schalke 04 midfielder Johannes Geis. The 25 year old’s contract with the German side expires in the summer and they appear more than willing to sell the player —- something they tried to do in the summer. Geis has not made a single appearance for Schalke this season and has no future at the club. In fact, he was even training with the team’s U-23 side late in the summer, so should Monchi table an acceptable offer, the Germans appear willing to deal.
