The English transfer market closes at 17.00 (18.00 Italian) today, and if N’Zonzi does not receive a convincing offer from Arsenal or Everton, Roma could turn their attention to him. Also for this reason, Roma has put on standby Mali-born midfielder Diadie Samassekou of Salzburg: the primary objective remains N’Zonzi, but the issue related to his wages has yet to be solved. The French world champion could lower his request and accept the courting of Monchi once he understands an English suitor is no longer available. Monchi considers Nzonzi an element that would increase the value of the midfield, though, he won’t break the bank for him, but he does believe that, along with De Rossi, he can help,
Monchi’s sight is increasingly fixated on England, even with regard to outgoing transactions. After Crystal Palace and Everton, and a small inquiry from Marseille: earning €10 million for the former Lyon captain would be a great move for Monchi, but the clock is ticking. One who has already left Roma is Daniele Verde, the attacker has joined Valladolid, who bought the player on loan with an option to buy. The sum for the option is around €2 million.
