Monza boss Giovanni Stroppa admitted his team were made to pay for errors in their 3-0 defeat to Roma.

The Lombardy side conceded a first half brace to Paulo Dybala before Roger Ibañez added a third goal midway through the second half.

“I like our approach in the first half,” Stroppa told DAZN. ”We could’ve done much better in the final third.”

“Against a team like this, one with different objectives than us, you can’t give them so much.”

“We lacked incisiveness. We didn’t do enough when we got into their area. This also has to do with our mentality.”

“All we can do is keep working and learn to limit the mistakes we commit.”

Reports after the match claimed Monza are contemplating sacking Stroppa with the club bottom of the table through four rounds.
