Roma have approached Monza director Francois Modesto with a proposal to become their new sporting director.
Seeing as General Manager Tiago Pinto is set to depart the club in a few weeks, Roma have began the search for a suitable replacement.
The Giallorossi have already been linked with several candidates from Italy and abroad.
However, the latest report by Corriere della Sera suggests Roma have already been turned down by one potential candidate.
Monza technical director Francois Modesto was, in fact, among the list of names Roma were keen on.
The newspaper claims Modesto has shown appreciation for Roma’s offer, but declined due to his focus being set on Monza for next season, too.
