Marash Kumbulla has been subject to several rumors linking him with a move to Torino, to his former coach Ivan Juric. However, the defender is not inclined on leaving the capital anytime soon.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Roma General Manager Tiago Pinto met with Kumbulla’s agent, Gianni Vitali, to reassure him of the Albanian defender’s importance to the club’s project going forward.
Mourinho considers him a valuable addition to his backline with great potential at only 22 years of age.
The Special One wants to continue relying on a three-man defense and thus Kumbulla can contribute as a valuable back-up to either Smalling, Ibanez or Mancini across all competitions.
