Jose Mourinho has reportedly contacted once more Spanish striker Alvaro Morata.

The Atletico Madrid attacker remains Mourinho’s first choice to replace Tammy Abraham for the upcoming season.

For the Special One, Morata brings the necessary quality and experience to lead Roma’s front line.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Mourinho called Morata on Thursday and asked him to be patient as Roma will try one more time to approach Atletico Madrid once the sale of Roger Ibanez to Nottingham Forest is realized.

The capital club are currently evaluating Nottingham’s proposal for Ibanez. The sale could provide Roma with enough cash to activate Morata’s release clause.
