Mourinho before Roma-Torino kick-off: “We must play our way.”

Jose Mourinho was interviewed by DAZN minutes away from Sunday’s late afternoon kick-off.

“Today we have to play in a way that prevents the other team from getting too comfortable. We cannot allow them to dictate the style of play.”

On Matías Viña and Riccardo Calafiori:

“They’re not ready yet. Calafiori is far from ready and Viña doesn’t have the full 90 minutes in his legs, much like Smalling at Genoa. It’s too early for Viña.”

On inserting Diawara in the starting eleven:

“Why not? Cristante and Veretout have played almost every game, for two different reasons they are not available today.”

“In that position there I have Mancini who is a defender but can play in the midfield, or Diawara or Darboe, either one of them.”
