Mourinho: “Bødo/Glimt lost their sense of reality. It was over after five minutes.”

José Mourinho did not mince words after his side emphatic victory against Bødo/Glimt in the Conference League quarterfinals.

In the post-match press conference, the Special One explained the difference in approach of the two teams in last night’s decisive match-up.

“I think it’s not only my feeling on the bench but also yours, after five minutes the game was already over.”

“We respected them because it had been three games that we didn’t beat them.”

“They deserve respect because they have made a fantastic journey. But I think they lost their sense of reality, they thought that today would be the continuation of a dream, but after five minutes the game was over.”

“I mean that when one team does not lose against another team three games in a row, you can analyse why it happened, or lose the sense of reality.”

“The first time was a disaster for us, but in which we played with 2 starters. The second game here we played with several unavailable players and as a result it was a good draw for them.”

“The last one they won 2-1 and maybe they thought it would be the same here. The reality is that they won 6-1, won 2-1 and tied 2-2, credit to them. But today we have seen reality, this is reality and Roma are better.”
