Roma manager José Mourinho appeared on DAZN this evening nearly half of an hour before his side kicks off against Lazio in the latest edition of the Derby della Capitale.
It’s the first Rome Derby that the 58 year-old will oversee since joining the Giallorossi early in the summer on three-year contract.
He discussed how he approaches his communication style ahead of such a delicate match, revealing that the most important thing is to stay balanced.
“You have to stay balanced in a match like tonight’s,” he said.
“If you’re only emotional, it’s difficult to win. Though, if you’re only rational and you don’t consider the heightened sensations and fail to realise that this match isn’t ordinary, you also can’t win.”
He concluded, “You need the proper balance between rationality and emotionality.”
Mourinho’s side will look to continue their winnings ways following their 1-0 victory over Udinese in their midweek future.
On the side, Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio are winless in their previous three matches after dropping points to Milan, Cagliari, and Torino.
