In a night that saw Roma lose a precious one-goal lead at the Mapei Stadium concluding the difficult away game with a hard fought draw, Jose Mourinho praised Tammy Abraham’s performance. The Englishman marked his third Serie A goal of the season earlier tonight with a powerful header off Gianluca Mancini’s cross.
“Tonight I spoke to two players,” Mourinho told reporters in his post-match presser. “One of them being Abraham and the other one I will not name.”
“I asked Tammy and told him to reflect on this, why hadn’t he shown the same attitude of today in other games? I’m not talking about efficiency, but attitude. Today his attitude was extraordinary.”
“He won all his duels, made as many recoveries as he could. When he lost the ball he did everything to get back to his position. He gave a fantastic performance. He must tell me why today this was the case, and not on other days.”
