Roma are waiting for Dutch midfielder Gini Wijnaldum to complete his long-awaited recovery in the coming weeks.
Wijnaldum – who suffered a fractured tibia in training in late August – is set to travel with the rest of the team to Portugal later today. The Dutchman has been called up by Jose Mourinho, reports today’s edition of Leggo.
The Special One’s call-up list for Portugal includes everyone except for Andrea Belotti and Benjamin Tahirovic – both still dealing with injuries – and Paulo Dybala who is away on international duty.
Rui Patricio and Nicola Zalewski have cut short their vacation and returned to the capital to resume training ahead of the New Year.
