Jose Mourinho is expected to switch formations as Roma face a shortage of defenders with Diego Llorente and Chris Smalling both still out.
Rumors of Mourinho fielding a four-man defense tomorrow against Frosinone echoed across Trigoria earlier today as the Portuguese manager announced in his press conference the first call-up for Primavera defender Joao Costa.
Costa will make his first appearance for the Giallorossi tomorrow: the 18-year-old has been included in Mourinho’s squad list and could facilitate the implementation of a back-four system.
The Brazilian defender is a skilled fullback with good dribbling and pace, and can easily adapt to a 4-2-3-1 formation.
In the opening five games of the season Roma’s Primavera team, Costa scored 1 goal and 1 assist in over 380 minutes of playing time.
