Jose Mourinho is waiting for the players on international duty to return to Trigoria ahead of Roma-Empoli.
One of the last players to complete a return trip from international duty is Leandro Paredes whose flight from Argentina is scheduled from Thursday, allowing him less than three days of preparations with the Giallorossi.
Nonetheless, the Argentine midfielder is still expected to feature in Roma’s starting line-up on Sunday.
According to Il Messaggero, Jose Mourinho is considering a position switch for the 28-year-old; from playmaker to mezzala, with Cristante starting in front of the defense.
Lorenzo Pellegrini is likely to be out, whereas Houssem Aouar is likely to return to the line-up after recovering from a muscle injury earlier in the week.
