Jose Mourinho is considering giving Stephan El Shaarawy a start in the upcoming weekend fixture with Empoli.
In the first three games of the season, the Italian attacker had been primarily utilized as a second striker in a partnership with Andrea Belotti.
However, with Romelu Lukaku and Paulo Dybala back in Roma’s starting eleven, El Shaarawy could once again find himself playing on the wing.
As revealed in today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Stephan El Shaarawy could in fact replace Spinazzola and Zalewski on the left wing.
Mourinho is currently pondering this as an option in order to boost Roma’s offensive range as the Giallorossi have struggled to create chances in recent outings.
