Roma manager Jose Mourinho was very critical of some of the players’ performances in last night’s loss to Lazio.

The Portuguese technician singled out the limitations of the team’s wing play, with fullbacks and wingers like Zalewski, Karsdorp and Kristensen failing to provide the likes of Romelu Lukaku and other attackers with any quality crosses.

“There is a problem right now and it’s been there for a long time,” Mourinho said in his post-match presser. “We are very good at putting our wing-backs in dangerous positions but they don’t create anything for us.”

“It’s already happened in the past, even against Atalanta, we are creating a lot, the team controls the match, then the ball reaches one of our wingers and nothing comes of it, no cross to the near post, nothing, they seem blocked and it’s frustrating to watch.”
