Jose Mourinho is not inclined to accept Portugal’s proposal of filling the managerial vacancy left by the exit of former coach Fernando Santos.
The Roma boss is reportedly intent on communicating to the Portuguese federation his decision within the next few days. Mourinho wants to focus on managing the Giallorossi for the time being.
According to A Bola, Portugal are still hoping for the Special One to change his mind ahead of the summer – when an official appointment would eventually take place – but are already looking at alternatives.
The two main names other than Mourinho’s are those of ex-Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane and former Spain and Roma coach Luis Enrique.
