Nicola Zalewski’s days at Roma are far from over despite a poor start to the season and rumors – which he denied – of involvement in illegal betting.
With less than 200 minutes played so far in this year’s campaign, Zalewski is ready to redeem himself in the eyes of Jose Mourinho.
After all, the Special One is responsible for allowing the Polish international to make his debut for the Giallorossi in 2021.
According to Il Messaggero, Mourinho is determined to increase Zalewski’s minutes after this past international break, rotating him more frequently with Leonardo Spinazzola who has similarly struggled to contribute efficiently this season.
As a result, Zalewski is predicted to feature more prominently in Roma’s Europa League campaign with occasional appearances in Serie A as well.
