Dutch midfielder Gini Wijnaldum was able to finally make his first start for Roma after recovering from a fractured leg in tonight’s defeat to Cremonese.
In his post-match press appearance, Jose Mourinho commented on Wijnaldum’s starting debut.
“In my opinion Gini did well tonight, a positive performance even in the first half when everything around him was messy and chaotic.”
“Had the result been different, I would have replaced him in the second half but the circumstances of the match meant that he played 90′ which is good for him.”
