Mourinho discusses Kumbulla, Belotti and Smalling’s status

Roma manager Jose Mourinho shared an update on the current injuries the Giallorossi are dealing with.

Following a frustrating draw with Milan at Stadio Olimpico, Mourinho shared an update regarding the conditions of Marash Kumbulla and Andrea Belotti, both of whom exited the match injured.

“I doubt we’ll see Karsdorp and Llorente back on the pitch this season,” he said. “Kumbulla is 100% out for the remainder of the season.”

“We hope to get Smalling back, let’s see in one or two games if possible. Wijnaldum is close to returning, I don’t know about Dybala. He was on the bench today and could not play. Even if Milan had scored, we wouldn’t have put him on the field.”

“Matic is disqualified against Monza, but let’s move on. I coached many years with squads with 1,000 options, now I get to be with an amazing group of guys, I’m super proud to work with them.”

“Belotti left the pitch but he couldn’t breathe, on the stairs before returning he raised the white flag, it was impossible to continue. He may have broken a rib,” the Special One concluded.
