Roma manager Jose Mourinho briefly previewed tonight’s Europa League affair with Betis in an interview with the club prior to the team’s trip to Seville earlier on Wednesday afternoon.

“There’s three games left to play, nine points which we want to fight for and so, yes, it depends entirely on us,” said the Special One.

“We’re different teams but of a similar level,” he added about tonight’s opponent. “I don’t think last week’s result reflects the truth. So, it’s hard to say what game we can expect to see tonight, but we’re prepared with our objectives in mind regardless of our difficulties and the injuries that have plagued us this season.”

“We’re aware of what we want to do tonight,” Mourinho continued. “We had little time to prepare but we’re confident we can win.”

“Right now we know we can end up second, third or fourth in the group. To drop out of this competition would be a blessing from a league’s standpoint but negative for our ambitions, self-respect and confidence. The objective is to continue our journey in Europa League.”
