Mourinho discusses Roma’s injury woes after Dybala hurt in Lecce win

Jose Mourinho sounded discouraged by the persisting injuries that have plagued his team throughout the opening to this new season. Following last night’s win over Lecce, the Special One spoke about the “dramatic” situation in his post-match press conference.

“We lose one player per game. This time around it’s Dybala. Last time out it was Celik,” he said.

“For me, as a manager, Wijnaldum’s situation is dramatic and I say this today despite having won the match.”

“Without him we struggle mightily because he was meant to be a crucial player for us. The others lack his experience. Camara came here without knowing our reality and physically he still had some work to do.”

“We must try to survive until January from the standpoint of the league table, and then we must hope that everyone’s healthy in January.”

“We played a great game with Atalanta, but we came out empty handed. Tonight I didn’t like our performance, but we got three points.”
