After pulling off a 1-0 win in last night’s Conference League fixture against Vitesse, Mourinho briefly addressed the media in his post-match press conference.
Questions about why Zaniolo went straight down to the dressing room following his substitution were disregarded by the Special One who is very protective of the 22-year-old.
“There’s no problem with Nicolò, I specifically asked him to go to the locker room because it was cold outside and we’re playing on Sunday.”
“As I said, there’s no problem, you have to try really hard in order to find an issue between me and Nicolò,” said the Portuguese technician.
“I’m satisfied with the performances of Zaniolo and Abraham, it was not easy for them to play tonight because they got barely any service.”
