Mourinho encourages Roma after late drama with Milan

Jose Mourinho discussed the sense of pride that he holds in coaching a tough Roma side which fought until the end in last night’s draw.

The Portuguese technician dismissed the various criticisms aimed at his men conceding a late equalizer to Milan on Saturday night.

In his post-match interview with Roma TV, Mourinho said, “It is difficult to perform miracles but you can always give everything. And that’s what we did.”

“That’s why people come to the stadium beyond the result, week after week. I feel proud to be the coach of these guys: no team could survive with all these problems.”

“Of course I’m sad about the result but super proud of the work the boys have done,” he concluded.
