As Nicola Zalewski prepares to make his return to the Italian capital where he is expected to to replace Leonardo Spinazzola as the first choice on the left flank.

Spinazzola is yet to reach ideal physical form and had recently asked to stay behind at Trigoria to continue to train individually after a difficult start to the season.

Thus, according to Il Messaggero, Zalewski will likely feature in Roma’s starting eleven with Inter. With a packed schedule which will include Conference League engagements, Mourinho could even go as far as rely on Zalewski to replace either Zeki Celik or Rick Karsdorp on the right wing.

Zalewski’s versatility will likely be the cause for the youngster’s increase of playing time especially given the upcoming World Cup in which Zalewski will appear with the Polish national team.
