Mourinho eyeing Udinese’s Juan Musso, City’s Nathan Aké

La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Andrea Pugliese wrote about what could be in store for Roma in the summer transfer market.

In fact, several discussions have already taken place between General Director Tiago Pinto and newly appointed manager José Mourinho regarding the club’s summer plans.

Reportedly, Mou wants reinforcements in each area of the pitch, but the defence is the most urgent.

Goalkeeper could be the very first position that ROMA look to upgrade when the window reopens, and all eyes are fixated on Udinese’s Juan Musso.

The Argentine fits the profile that Roma are looking for, however, the Friulian side have slapped a €25 million price tag on him. If the capital club are unable to agree to a price for the 27 year-old, they could turn to Rui Patricio.

Next, Pinto could look to acquire another central defender after Roma’s backline struggled throughout the season.

Some of the names being linked as potential targets bt the Portuguese technician include: Tottenham’s Eric Dier, Chelsea’s Kurt Zouma, and Nathan Aké of Manchester City.

Finally, Mourinho wants to add experience to the midfield. Manchester United’s Nemanja Matić and Tottenham’s Pierre-Emile Højbjerg are two former players that he would like to reunite with, but there’s another name to keep an eye on.

RB Leipzig’s Marcel Sabitzer is a player that the former Chelsea manager has admired for several years. The 27 year-old’s contract with the German side expires in 2022, and the Giallorossi could look to take advantage of the situation.
