Jose Mourinho and his men are about to enter what might be the most difficult stretch of this season.

Within a span of just a few weeks, Roma will face the likes of Napoli, Juventus, Atalanta and Milan along with Fiorentina, Bologna, Sheriff Tiraspol and Cremonese in the Coppa Italia.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, this intense series of matches will undoubtedly help clear up Mourinho’s future at the club.

Despite making steps in the right direction and remaining on good terms with Roma’s owners, Mourinho’s work will continue to be evaluated based on the results the team are able to achieve.

The manager will likely meet with the club after January, once the busy schedule is over, and discuss the details of a potential new deal to further extend his stay beyond the current expiry date of his contract.
