Mourinho halts Jordan Veretout’s exit from Roma

Jordan Veretout’s likely summer departure from the Italian capital is put on hold for the time being as the club continue to search for a valid replacement on the market.

In fact, Il Messaggero reports that Mourinho himself has preferred to halt Veretout’s exit in anticipation of the Giallorossi’s finalization of the deal for Davide Frattesi.

Negotiations with Sassuolo are still on-going with the two clubs yet to reach an agreement regarding the total fee for the Italian midfielder and the youth players involved in the deal.

Thus, Mourinho and the club have temporarily taken Veretout’s name off the list of players destined to look for another club.

The club will now focus on off-loading the likes of Amadou Diawara, Gonzalo Villar and Ebrima Darboe.
