Mourinho halts Zaniolo’s transfer links with Tottenham

Jose Mourinho will not let Nicolo Zaniolo leave in the final weeks of this year’s summer window despite considerable interest from top European clubs, reports La Repubblica.

The Portuguese technician has reportedly given his final word on the matter, communicating to both Roma’s management and the player himself that no offer will be taken into further consideration from now on.

This decision comes in light of Tottenham’s recent proposal for the 23-year-old: Antonio Conte’s side went as far as offering €40 million plus Japhet Tanganga.

The Special One promptly rejected this approach and reiterated his willingness to continue working together with Zaniolo who seems to have found his best form over the course of Roma’s preseason.
