Jose Mourinho expressed his satisfaction upon returning to Italy from vacation and resuming group training in a recent interview with the club in light of tomorrow’s trip to Algarve.
“I’m really happy,” said the Special One. “Since yesterday I was confronted with people who wanted to work, who came into training with motivation and concentration.”
“It’s never easy to come back and train with our philosophy: intensity and concentration. I am very happy with the answer they’ve given me so far.”
“The goal of our tour in Portugal is to play,” he continued. “There are many teams that are easy to play with. What isn’t easy is picking the ideal opponents to do it, our criterion is to play with people who are at a higher level in terms of condition. This was the criterion: we want minutes, I’ll try to give each player a fair amount of minutes. We have to train very well, the important thing is to recover our intensity. The players came back mentally prepared.”
“We will all go to the Algarve, including some injured players who are not yet in a position to train and play against Bologna. We have to work well together, as I told you before, not to win matches but to use them as training ahead of January.”
