Following last night’s win over Bayer Leverkusen, Jose Mourinho spoke about the possibility of reintegrating Stephan El Shaarawy for next week’s return leg.
In his post-match comments, Mourinho hinted at El Shaarawy’s potential return from injury despite reports claiming the winger had suffered a season-ending injury a few days ago.
“I haven’t spoken yet to Dybala and Wijnaldum about their respective condition,” he said. “If they feel up to it, then we’ll increase their minutes. Let’s see.”
“Perhaps El Shaarawy could still help us out next Thursday,” he added.
