Following the final whistle to tonight’s 2-0 victory over Spezia, Jose Mourinho expressed his satisfaction with the team’s display in a tough away game only a few days away before a crucial big match against Luciano Spalletti’s Napoli.
During his post-match media appearances, the Special One praised the team effort. “We did well to not allow them to get back into the game. We managed the rhythm and the transitions. Overall, it was a good game and we were good tonight as a team,” he told DAZN at full-time.
“What I liked most about tonight? The performance which was a real team performance. We played like a team. And it showed how hard we worked throughout the week leading up to tonight.”
“It wasn’t easy to play here against a motivated team, but I liked that we were in control of the match.”
