Free agent Paulo Dybala could in the end be Roma’s big summer signing after Inter put their talks with Argentine footballer on hold.
According to La Repubblica, Mourinho has contacted Dybala several times over recent weeks in order to convince him of the capital club’s project.
Roma are reportedly willing to offer the ex-Juve man around €6 million in wages and are hoping the 28-year-old will ultimately decide to lower his demands in absence of other offers.
Napoli are still in the race for Dybala after Kalidou Koulibaly’s exit but still haven’t formulated an official offer.
