Jose Mourinho has been reportedly approached by Portugal following their recent elimination from the World Cup in Qatar.

According to many Portuguese sources, the Special One is currently the favorite to replace Fernando Santos.

Today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport claims Mourinho is intrigued by the prospect of combining club and country coaching duties. However, to be able to do so, he would need Dan Friedkin’s approval.

The American president of Roma would have to be willing to give Mourinho the green light given that the Special One has a contract with the Giallorossi until 2024 and does not intend to abandon the Italian capital anytime soon.
