Mourinho outlines Roma’s January transfer targets

In his post-match press appearance following Roma’s 2-0 win over Napoli, Jose Mourinho answered some questions regarding the Giallorossi’s plans for January.

The Special One did not reveal too much, especially with regards to questions about Leonardo Bonucci, but revealed how Financial Fair Play will impact the club’s decision-making in January.

“I’m not talking about the transfer market, we’ll talk about it once it’s oficially open in January. We still have one match to go and when we talk about the transfer market we must start from the assumption that Roma are experiencing a very difficult situation due to Financial Fair Play.”

“What we want is one thing, what we can do is another. We have Kristensen and Azmoun off the UEFA list, if we sign another player we risk having to exclude them from the list as well,” continued Mourinho.

“It’s not an easy situation, I would like a top central defender for the future, a good prospect, but it doesn’t seem to me that this will be possible.”
