Mourinho plays key role in Roma Primavera’s victory over Fiorentina

Roma boss Jose Mourinho played a crucial role in the Primavera’ yesterday’s 2-1 win over Fiorentina on Sunday.

The Portuguese technician – who has been recently linked with a move to PSG – attended yesterday’s Primavera game at the Tre Fontane stadium in Rome following the first team’s defeat with Inter on Saturday.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Mourinho entered the Primavera’s dressing room at half-time and took over coaching duties since Primavera boss Federico Guidi was suspended.

The U19 were down 0-1 at the time, and Mourinho reportedly addressed them with the following words: “I would like to see more intensity and pace, be more aggressive because Fiorentina’s defense is weak and you can overcome it. It will be a different second half, I believe in your victory.”

At the end of the interval, Mou followed the rest of the match in the area behind Fiorentina’s goal.

Despite the afternoon heat he didn’t shelter from the sun. Instead, he watched the players, together with assistant and friend Nuno Santos, as they came back to win the game.
