Jose Mourinho continued to address Roma’s lack of effort in the opening 45 minutes to Juventus-Roma in his post-match press conference where the Special One went into more detail about certain performances as well other topics related to the team’s roster.

“When I walked into the locker-room to confront my players I was confident they were ready for my reaction. Last year we had a few games similar to this one and this time around they knew what to expect.”

“This season I am seeing a team that is more emotionally mature,” continued the Special One. “I had a feeling they were prepared from an emotional point of view for my reaction. Their response to what I had to say was very positive. I like that about us. We can confront each other.”

Mourinho praised Dybala’s impact, “He always makes a difference. People think he does well when he scores or assists. Tonight he made the difference. He is a point of reference for the team.”

“I’ve already seen Abraham in the interview, he made it sound like he played a great game but he was horrible.”

“Dybala played well, Cristante did a great job to leave a more central route open for Paulo. It was enough for us to step into the box in the second half and there was the feeling of fear of their fans.”

“Celik and Zalewski came on and played well. We are fine in that area,” he concluded.
