Jose Mourinho was specifically asked to share his thoughts on Rick Karsdorp’s performance in last night’s comeback win over Lecce.

The Dutchman continues to impress under Jose Mourinho following the pair’s decision to make up after last year’s falling out.

In his post-match presser, Mourinho praised Karsdorp at length.

“Karsdorp played a good game, as always his most important quality is in the offensive phase, especially in the first half he played really well.”

“We decided to risk everything by playing without Mancini in defense, I needed fresh full-backs. Even though Kristensen isn’t technically good looking, he has has a lot of pace and strength.”

“Belotti finished the match playing wide as the fifth midfielder, Cristante kept the midfield going and Karsdorp helped us a lot to close it out. A proper team effort.”
