Jose Mourinho spoke to the club before leaving the Stadio Olimpico last night: the Portuguese manager discussed the Giallorossi’s resilience in facing the several challenges and difficulties met along the way in this Europa League group stage.
“The boys are untouchable in my opinion,” said the Special One. “All of them, those who start and those who come off the bench.”
“We could have done better in the group. The loss at home with Betis and in Bulgaria with Ludogorets were not a good look for us. But in the end, we still managed to survive when we had our backs to the wall.”
“We reacted in a great way in the second half, we wanted to score at all costs,” he added.
“I also like to talk about Vina because I think it is a shame he doesn’t have the backing from the fans that he deserves. He comes from a different reality and for the past year has been working on playing in a new position,” he said. “The home crowd doesn’t help him, and it’s the only time I say this because our supporters always help us.”
