Mourinho praises Zaniolo in face of refereeing mistakes: “It’s always the same story with Di Bello.”

José Mourinho was very critical of the two match officials – Di Paolo and Di Bello – who refereed last night’s game at the Maradona Stadium.

The Special One especially praised Nicolò Zaniolo whose performance was once again heavily influenced by Di Bello’s quick whistle.

“It’s always the same story with Di Bello,” said Mourinho. “Zaniolo took the yellow and will not play against Inter.”

“It seems to me that it’s been ten games that Roma have yet to win with Mr. Di Bello.”

“Zaniolo played a great game, but Koulibaly is a tremendous player.”

“I thought Nicolò had a great game, then in the final moments of the match he was tired.”

“With Di Bello there always comes a moment of frustration, because a yellow card is always around the corner.”

“I wanted to finish the match without losing anybody due to a red card and that’s why I made the substitution. The problem is that he won’t be able to play with Inter.”
